When I dropped off my daughter at Camp CoHoLo for the first time, I was a little nervous, not knowing what to expect. What I saw that day in the eyes of the campers was excitement, joy, love, and kids just wanting to be kids for a few days. It was a wonderful experience for her and 19 years later, she is still going to Camp CoHoLo, now as a volunteer. Every child with cancer should have the opportunity to attend Camp CoHoLo.

My daughter, Hannah, has been going to Camp CoHoLo since she was 8 years old.  It is one of the highlights of her summer. She was on treatment the first year, and then again in 2008. I knew that the medical staff would take great care of her, and they have each year.
Hannah really loved(s) being with children who understand what it is to go through cancer treatment, who don't cast funny looks at bald heads, AFO's, or prosthesis.  She loves the counselors, and loves her cabin mates, many of whom she has been with since she started. She enjoys all the activities and is always sad to come home. It is a wonderful experience for any child with blood disorders or cancer.
