Our counselors help create the experience that makes our campers return year after year. The primary duties of a Camp CoHoLo Counselor are to be a role model, friend, instructor, and hero to our campers.

Camp Counselor Job Description

Responsibilities include: overall supervision of campers to ensure campers' wellbeing and safety while they are enjoying the fun and rewarding experience of summer camp. Counselors are with campers 24 hours a day during a Camp Session to make sure campers are eating meals, attending day and evening activities, and are getting to sleep at night.

Requirements

Summer Camp Counselors must be 21 years of age and pass a background check.

Sibling Camp Counselors must be 19 years or older and pass a background check.

Counselor in Training (CIT): This program is for past campers, ages 18-20 who are not yet 21, but would like to learn about becoming a Summer Camp Counselor. (We sometimes accept CIT applications from 18-20 year olds who are newly diagnosed and would like to come out and benefit from the experience of camp.)

 

All counselors and staff will need to be up to date with COVID vaccinations per CDC recommendations.

All first-year applicants will be interviewed by members of the Operations Team.
