Yikes! The Donate page has been temporarily hijacked for the 1st annual Pajamas and Cocktails Fauxraiser, a very fancy fundraiser that doesn’t actually exist. You see, instead of paying $100 per plate for a bad dinner and an endless auction featuring stuff you don’t want, we’re asking to you donate to Camp CoHoLo from the comfort of your own home. (If you don’t like what we‘ve named our fundraiser, feel free to call it by the name that came in second place – the Pajamadanza Extravaganza, which would have featured a Tony Danza theme. Unfortunately, Tony wasn’t available to attend the event we weren’t having, so we went with the first choice. The third choice was Pajamapalooza, but a 12-year-old girl in Fargo trademarked that name and threatened to sue us if we used it.)
If you’re visiting this page, chances are that one of your friends or business associates sent you an e-mail or a letter telling you about the Pajamas and Cocktails Fauxraiser. If not, here’s a quick summary. 1. We put on a very cool summer camp for kids with cancer and blood disorders. 2. We’ve lost our biggest donor, the now-defunct Cox Classic, and that represented 15-20% of our annual revenues. 3. We spend 99.9% of our donations on the camp. The camp is run by volunteers who donate over 8,000 hours each year to run the camp. We spend nothing on salaries. 4. We could really use your donations.

For the first ten years, Camp CoHoLo was entirely funded by the Variety Club of Nebraska. Since 1995, that funding has ended and Camp CoHoLo has depended upon the generosity of area businesses and individuals for financial support.
In order to encourage all eligible children to attend, the registration fee is just $15 and is waived for those families with limited resources. Camp expenses each year total approximately $75,000, with the largest outlays expended for food and the rental of the 4-H Center.
