Hello, cool people! The Donate page has been temporarily hijacked for the 2nd annual Pajamas and Cocktails Fauxraiser, a very fancy fundraiser that doesn’t actually exist. Well, it sorta exists. You see, the folks in charge of fundraising for Camp CoHoLo have two problems: (a) since they’re all volunteers, they have to do their real jobs first, which doesn’t leave much time to plan a fancy party, and (b) they’ve attended a lot of expensive parties that were very long but didn’t raise that much for the charity. Consequently, the Fauxraiser is a perfect mix of form and function: we provide you with an exceptionally efficient way to support a great cause without you having to give up an evening.
We started the Fauxraiser in 2014 because we lost the financial support of the Cox Classic, the now-defunct golf tournament that was one of our largest annual donation sources Camp CoHoLo’s annual budget is approximately $85,000, and 99.9% of the money we raise each will go to operating the camp. We don’t have employees – the camp is supported by over 8,000 volunteer hours each year. We don’t have an office – just a PO Box. We don’t spend a lot of money on fundraising – in fact, we haven’t spent more than $500 per year on fundraising during the past decade. We don’t have to maintain a camp all year – we rent the Eastern Nebraska 4-H Center for nine days each summer.
So, it should be pretty clear. We don’t waste money. Nearly every dollar we raise goes to put on a super-tacular camp for kids with cancer and blood disorders.
Now we’re asking you to help us continue this great work. Starting on July 12, 2015, we’re asking for donations to support camp CoHoLo. If you click on the ‘Donate’ button below, it should take you about five minutes to donate to a great cause. You can use a credit card or Paypal account to make your donation. If you’d prefer to write a check (you’ll get a receipt either way), please mail a check to Camp CoHoLo, PO Box 130, Yutan, NE 68073.
The rest of the day is yours. No fancy clothes. No cold entrée. No overpriced drinks. Just you, your pajamas, and your bunny slippers. Because bunny slippers are awesome.

For the first ten years, Camp CoHoLo was entirely funded by the Variety Club of Nebraska. Since 1995, that funding has ended and Camp CoHoLo has depended upon the generosity of area businesses and individuals for financial support.
In order to encourage all eligible children to attend, the registration fee is just $15 and is waived for those families with limited resources. Camp expenses each year total approximately $85,000, with the largest outlays expended for food and the rental of the 4-H Center.
